This privacy policy explains how Pet Tags Online (ABN 11 408 505 803) handles your personal information when you visit pettags.online or place an order with us. In this policy, we, us and our refer to Pet Tags Online. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to take and fulfil your order:

• your name and email address;
• the delivery address for your order;
• the engraving details you enter for your tag, such as your pet’s name and a contact number;
• your order history and related correspondence with us.

Payment details. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; Stripe handles that information under its own privacy terms.

How we use your information

• to process, manufacture and deliver your order;
• to send order confirmations and updates about your order;
• to respond to your enquiries and provide support;
• to meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations;
• to maintain and improve the security and operation of our store.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run the store and fulfil your order:

• Red Dingo — manufactures and ships your tag, and receives the engraving details and delivery address needed to do so;
• Stripe — processes your payment;
• Resend — delivers our order and service emails;
• Supabase — hosts our order database (primary data is stored in Sydney, Australia);
• Vercel — hosts this website.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to operate the store — for example, to remember the items in your cart — together with the cookies our payment provider sets to process payments securely. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How we protect your information

Information is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access to order data is restricted, and we use reputable providers with their own security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

How long we keep it

We keep your order information for as long as needed to fulfil your order and to meet our legal and tax obligations (business records are generally kept for at least five years), after which we delete or de-identify it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing orders@pettags.online. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at orders@pettags.online so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
