Coming soon · Found Me
A lost-pet hotline on their tag. Without your number on show.
Found Me puts a short code on your pet’s engraved tag. Whoever finds them can alert you instantly by text and email — and your phone number never has to be printed on a collar for every passer-by to read.
A tag has two jobs that pull against each other.
It has to reach you fast when your pet is lost — and it shows your details to everyone who walks past while they’re not. Found Me does the first job without giving up the second.
How it will work
Three steps from lost to found.
A code on their tag
Add a short Found Me code as one engraved line, such as pettags.online/f/K7X2, alongside their name.
Someone finds them
The finder types the code into their phone and lands on a simple page: “I’ve found Bella — alert the owner”.
You hear in seconds
You get a text and an email with their message (and location, if they share it). Reply through Found Me — your number stays private.

Our privacy promise

Common questions
What is Found Me?
Found Me is a private lost-pet hotline. A short code is engraved on your pet’s tag; anyone who finds your pet enters it at pettags.online and can alert you straight away by text message and email, without ever seeing your phone number.
Do I still need my phone number on the tag?
That is your choice. Many owners like a phone number for speed; others prefer privacy. Found Me works on its own or alongside a phone number, and it keeps working if you change your number, because you update it once in your account instead of buying a new tag.
Will it work on any tag?
It is designed for the genuine Red Dingo tags we sell: the Found Me code is engraved as one short line with the same deep diamond engraving as the rest of the tag. There is no QR code or battery to fail.
How much will it cost?
Instant alerts are planned to be free with every tag. An optional Lost Mode, with a public lost banner, printable posters and alerts to other local pet owners, is planned at about $2 a month or $19 a year. Your answer on the early list helps us decide.
What does the finder see?
Only your pet’s name, an “alert the owner” button and, if you choose, a note such as a medical need. Never your address or phone number. The finder can share their location and a message; you can reply through Found Me without revealing your number.
When is it available?
Found Me is coming soon. Join the early list and we will email you once when it is ready — early members will be first to add a Found Me code to their tags.
